PDO threads are an adjunct therapy that are minimally invasive and inserted into the skin to tighten loose skin and soften wrinkles. They are made from Polydioxanone, an absorbable synthetic fiber, which is commonly used in surgical procedures. After being inserted into the skin, the threads prompt collagen production and tissue remodeling, thereby resulting in improved facial contours and balanced skin tone. While the results of PDO threads are not permanent, they can last up to two years or longer depending on individual circumstances. A treatment series is often needed for best results.
